I put a ad on CL, looking for c-band dishes & someone contacted me with a free DirectWay dish (23X39) with I gladly took. On my way out his neighborhood, I found my first Primestar dish! I knocked on the door & the homeowner said "Please take it down". I grabbed my wrenches & had it off the pole in 10 mins, then wrestled the pole out of the ground. I had this dish & pole in my truck within 15 minutes & thanked him. The Primestar dish has a LNB Model # NJR2112F, this has 2 coax outputs (V & H) The DirecWay dish says FSS 1095-12.75 GHZ on it's LNB. I won a bid on a Coolsat 5000 this weekend ($32.00 shipped) so I should be playing with FTA real soon.

Sweet,
What size Primestar? There should be a mold number on the back of the Dish, ie 75e, 84e, 1.0 or something like that. I love my 84e and coolsat 6000, now if I could just get my big dish back up.

No Doubt;
You're going to like the p*. Nice find! One of those TechTracker 0.2 db lnb's will bolt on the mount. Anole has done all the calculations for spacing additional lnb's.

Score du jour
Yesterday I went out trolling for dishes and ran across one out in the country.
I always take along binoculars and my camera with telephoto lens so I can check out the prospective dish without having to go up and knock on the door. I take my little Geo Metro as it gets 45mpg. I saw this one and went up and talked to the home owners and they said "Sure, take it". I told them I had to come back the next day as I didn't think I could get it in the little car. They said they'd be there.
So after holding my breath all night I went back this morning, and they still were up for letting it go.
The first picture is the Perfect 10 dish. It's obviously trashed, but it has a nice Chaparral dual feed horn with LNBs and three good support arms.
The other two photos show what I was really after.
It took about two hours to take down by myself. If there's a next time I will take help. The last panel of the dish slipped and whacked me in the head, but did not draw blood. The mount was too heavy to take off in one piece (by myself) so I took off the ring first and then the rest. I think my back will be talking to me tonight.
I took along my stand alone actuator juicer and hooked it up and the motor still works. I will take it apart and restore it and regrease it.
Happy Days

I wouldn't be so cavalier about that Perfect 10.
I'll wager it gets C-band just fine as it is.
With a little patching, it should be good as new.
Or maybe the picture doesn't tell the whole story.?.
Congrats on the solution to your H-H craving.
Of course, I am a little disappointed you won't be building one.
But now with that commercial toy, you're good to go! -
That's the biggest of the three in the family, isn't it? The AJAK 180?
