Update on the perforated birdview that I posted earlier. The owner called me this morning and It turns out that she has two of these dishs one is at another place of hers and that she wants $300.00 for both of Them. What do you guys think?

did you talk about what kind of shape they are in , if they have had the reed switch conversion added & the c & ku upgrade. plus if the motor is working on both. they would probably be worth that. i would probably go for it
are they both perfs ?
did you ever get rid of the unusual birdview ?

gabshere What I do know is that the one I have took pics of is in good shape except for all the mold growing on it .You can't see to good in the pics but it has already had the scalar ring milled out for a co-rotor on it. As for the other one all she said was that it is just like the other one and that she has the recevivers for it and that it is a dual receiver system. Yes I still have the offset birdview dish.

That reed & 24-magnet conversion kit was $70 or $80, and not currently available.
The 8-magnet conversion is garbage, and worth nothing.
I'd look at how high they are mounted.
If way up in the air and a pain, then that's a big job.
Then, there's a matter of access.
I think Linuxman passed on one, which was harder to drive up to.
I'm looking at one in a small back yard with a high fence. (see my pix)
Pretty sure the dish was there first.
If the fence doesn't have a gate in it, I may be up $&|+ creek.
Other mods and receivers may be worth quite a bit to ya.
I'm not anxious for a 4DTV receiver.
If I had to pay to get a dish that had an actual 4D box, and I knew I could sell it, that would be a factor.
I thought you were going to put your side-saddle Birdview into service.
I've been waiting for the thread with all the inside scoop! -
Now here you are considering the purchase of not one, but two!
After all, you know the old saying, "A Bird in the hand . . . " -
Motorola RAZR V3i on AT&T last 5½ years.
Restoring an Apple iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.0.1, BB 6.15.00.
Next: AT&T iPhone 4 w/ smashed face & cracked back.
(needs plastic surgery and a chiropractor)
: BirdView 8½' solid & GBox V3000.
: AMCI 8' perf (probably a DH) & AJAK-180.

I would have to repectfully disagree One with out the conversion is garbage. The 8-magnet conversion is better than nothing.

One word I am lazy.I can guarantee that if I had the mounting pole for that dish and if it had the Reed & feedhorn conversions It whould already be in the ground.
