    1.2 meter cband

    ADVERTS
    HI
I have a 1.2 meter channel master dish i got from a radio station that moved.
it was a 2 way dish.
i would like to try to recieve 101 c band sat and would like to know if a c band lnbf can be mounted to it, it is off set and takes a 40 mm lnb.
is there any lnbf i can mount to this as most look like the neck is too large.
since the new ones have better gain and lower noise i thought i would give it a shot.
    i have a coolsat 5000 and a pansat 9000 for the recievers.
1 have used this for ku and worked great, but seems a waist for the size.

The only channel on 101 C-Band that I know of is Golden Eagles Broadcasting
That transponder is very strong so a 1.2m should be fine.

edit: found the signal screen shot when I locked on GEB with a 1.2m dish

Many C Band lnbf are 65 mm throat Dia.

Some folks here claim good C Band performance with the flat Scalar that comes with LNBF.

Some like the WS Conical Scalar which comes with a black plastic adapter for mounting a C Lnbf to Offset dish.

Check out one of our sponsers at top of page for this equipment.

Some folks say that depending on your dishes f/d one or the other Scalar will be better.

    Enjoy

PS- If you motorize this and side mount a Ku lnbf you will get better performance then with a C/Ku LNBF.
