NSS 806 at 40.5°W
ADVERTS 1
I was attempting to align the new 8 Foot Dish today, hoping to hit 58 West. Instead after doing a blind scan it was determined that I was on 40.5 West. This seems awfully far east for someone in Minnesota. Any one else able to get this bird in MN? Or the upper midwest for that matter?

NSS 806's footprint spreads well into Canada, so it's no surprise you can see it. It's straightforward in Denver with an 11 degree elevation; your elevation should be around 17 degrees. The only touchy part is the circular polarization on C-band. Technically you are be a long ways from your eastern limit. You might be able to get down to 24.5W at about a 6 degree elevation. I've made it to 30W at a 3 degree elevation, here.
