    Chaparral Dual Feed feedhorn question

    ADVERTS
Since my troubles with cold and the servo motor, I've been thinking about a Chaparral Dual Feed feedhorn. I would be using it on a DSR-922.
My question is how to switch back and forth between H and V. I guess you'd have to use a switch that would combine the two coax outputs into one that would be switched by 5vdc. You could put the switch out at the dish or run two runs of coax into the house and put the switch at the 922.

    Or is there another way?

on the back of your 922 you will notice its something like h/k v/c. so hook up one lnb to h/k and one to v/c and set up as dual cband lnbs if i remember correctly.

    some dual-LNB C-band only feedhorns:

I'm not a 4D'er, but I have read, that you can change the mode the receiver commands the LNB for V/L to voltage controlled.
Then, a 2x4 multiswitch at the LNBF would take the two LNB signals, and provide output to four receivers.
Each receiver could select either polarity as required.

Also, there are other brands of C-only Orthomode feedhorns.
I remember seeing Linuxman with some, so ask around (or search) for other recommended brands.
