no green bars

im just starting with my bud im useing my coolsat 5000 for a receiver, im on 99 west im getting about 40 channels,when i was aiming for a sat i got 97 singals strengh but on 5 or 6 quality strengh, i finally saw quality bar jumping up to 14 and back to 6, went ahead and did a blind scan and picked up some channels. when i was scaning i would see some green so i knew i was getting a signal. but how do you tweak it if you are not getting any quality in the set up screen?

It sound like there are tree branches blowing about between your dish and satellite??When the branches move you get better quality until they block the signal again.All my experience is with KU so it might not be relavent.G'luck
