    The Saint OAR on HBO?

    ADVERTS 1
I am watching The Saint on HBO HD west and it appears to be in OAR. There are black bars on the top and bottom and this seems like a first for HBO. The other times I have watched it, I thought it was HBO's usual 16:9 format. Anyone else seeing this?

Depends on what aspect ratio it is. I've noticed on my 16:9 that if I play any DVD with a larger aspect ratio of 1.85:1 I will get black bars on my movies.

This was shown by HBO before they adopted their pan & scam policy.

Thanks for the info, it looked pretty good, would have been better if it was DD 5.1, but I guess that would be too much to ask from HBO.
