Movie Channel Timing Thread for DVRs
ADVERTS 1
I noticed that the showing this Sunday of Galaxy Quest on Cinemax-HD is in a time slot of 1:40 length. I checked IMDB and the film is 1:42 long.
So, if I used the normal one-click DVR setting method, I would miss the end of the film (unless Cinemax has trimmed it somwhat).
Previously, I had a similar problem on HDNet-Movies with Chinatown where the one-click DVR setting resulted in the recording ending one minute before the end of the film.
(2:11 long)
So, I thought that we could pool our experience with various movie channels, in terms of how much time to add to DVR recordings.
I'm especially interested if anyone has ever experienced channels starting movies early ?? Is adding one minute to the beginning of the DVR timer simply a consistent waste of space, when dealing with movie channels ? (Yes, I have lots of experience with TV networks starting weekly shows early, but this thread is just about movie channels.)In San Francisco Bay ! - Louis Vuitton Cup: 04 July – 1 September 2013 ; America’s Cup Match (Finals): 7-22 September 2013
