Thread: dish or direct?

Directv has more real hd channels right now. Look at their website and you can see many channels that people really want and are in the top programming packs in sd. DISH did have the most hd channels up until last October. THey are promising to have about 100 hd channels by the end of this year. DIrectv has said they would have 100 hd channels by last years end. They didn't meet that number . But they have a new sat going up soon and in March supposedly DISH will too. DISH will have Echostar 11 go up in June and another sat goes up in late 4th quarter to replace 129 sat . Directv has said they will have upto 150 hd channels by sometime this year. DISH had said last May ,they would relauch the entire DISH service and room for upto 200 hd channels by early this year. This was before the launch site had a rocket blow up and put both providers behind on their sat launches. Who knows if this will still happen.

In the end it is all about who has more NOW and that is clearly DIRECTV.
