FX going back in time for period Western

By Nellie Andreeva
Quote:
FX is saddling up for "Reconstruction," a period Western from "St. Elsewhere" co-creator Joshua Brand and director-producer Peter Horton.

The drama, which is in development, is set in a Missouri town during the post-Civil War Reconstruction era and centers on Jason, a proper East Coast gentleman who returns from the war a changed man and seeks refuge in the border state.

Why do you say that ?

Have you seen it ?

It sounds more interesting than endless cop, detective, lawyer, doctor and forensics shows....

I am sorry but Westerns do not interest me at all. When I was a kid my dad watched nothing but Westerns, war movies/documentaries and sports. He hogged the tv and watched only what he wanted to watch. Funny I don't watch any of those type of programs today. I also provided my son with his own tv and it is hd. He also has his own sat receiver/dvd/dvr/vcr/playstation/Wi game. He won't have to say he was forced to watch crap he didn't like when he grows up. By the way my dad still watches the same programs as he did when I was a kid ,except he has access to other shows since I provided him with his own DISH dvr/top 250 programming and .01 cent Cinemax.

It's been awhile since there has been a western, I grew up with Bonanza and Gunsmoke and love to archive all of the old westerns shown on the various premiums... Brisco County Jr. was a favorite series awhile back...
