Well the Dish guide doesn't show it. Since
Yahoo says its
1 hr. 24 min
I would guess that would be 2hrs for total showing time. Does that sound about right?
I ask cause I have manually set the record time. Thanks.
God they don't even show it on 7 day

So what the hell happen to Serious Moonlight?
- 12-02-2009 10:33 PM #8
I wonder which version of Close Encounters they are showing. There are about 4 different versions.
Original Theatrical Release,
Special Edition (Meet the nearies is totally different and the extra and unnecessary stuff inside the ship among other things)
Criterion Collection release from 1990 that intercut both versions with some deleted scenes
and the "final" version from 1998 which was Spielberg's re-edit and final say on his project.
The original release edit, though excellent, was definitely rushed and a little sloppy.
The 1990 version was a hatchet job. The special edition had some scenes that should have remaind on the cutting room floor. And the last release was okay.THERE= a place. not here - THEIR= belongs to them - THEY'RE = short for "They Are". THEN = a point in time; not now. - THAN = used to compare things.
-If you tried 4 times to move forward, it was the FOURTH time you went FORTH! ---Something AFFECTS you. You have an EFFECT on something
Some one can win a MEDAL made of a METAL like gold for showing his METTLE (courage)
If something is LOOSE you might LOSE it. Your=belongs to "you" You're short for "you are"
You file a suit in court. You wear a suit in court. You stay in a suite at the hotel. You sweat it out. Victory is sweet!
If two sets of twin brothers have a gunfight, you have a Dual Duel
MUTE=Silent, unable to talk. MOOT= No loger relevant or important. "A mute points out a moot point."

I do find that the HD transfer of some movies is often not the best version ( Legend is a good example, in fact Theatrical versions with studio-ordered cuts have been the norm for HD release, instead of the Directors Cuts that are better 95% of the time. )
The same thing occurred with CD transfers of LPs ( For example, Iggy's poorly conceived remix of Raw Power ended up on CD instead of Bowie's classic mix that heavily influenced rock music. )In San Francisco Bay ! - Louis Vuitton Cup: 04 July – 1 September 2013 ; America’s Cup Match (Finals): 7-22 September 2013

The HD version of Dances with Wolves was the full 4 hour extravaganza on HD Net Movies, so it can happen.
