A nice visit with an old friend: ST: DS9

    ADVERTS 1
The other day I was going through the itunes store looking for something to download to my ipod touch for the gym, and came across seasons 1-3 of DS9 for $12.99 each for the download. On a whim I bought season 1, and just watched Emissary.

I had forgotten how much I had enjoyed DS9. It was a great show, with excellent characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the pilot. It has been MANY years since I had seen the show. I had forgotten how enamored I was with the young Terry Farrell as Dax.

I looked her up and she has not acted since 2003; she is living on a farm with her husband and kids in Hershey, PA.

Anyways, I think it will be fun reacquainting myself with DS9; I used to have every episode recorded on -- gasp -- VHS -- but those tapes are long gone. I looked at the DVD collection, but they are still going for $52 per season on Amazon, and $39 used. Bummer. I guess I'll keep watching on the "little" screen.

    Herding Cats since 2007.

Dish: Vip722, 4.5 TB of External HDDs, Dish 1000.2, America 200 w/locals, Sony KDL-40XBR4 LCD, Apple TV, Toshiba HD A20 HD DVD, Sony BD player, Denon AVR 1310 Receiver, Infinity sound.
HT Room: 106" Screen, Mitsi HC1500 720P projector, Dish vip722, Toshiba HD A2 HD DVD; Sony BDP-BX1 BD, Denon AVR788 7.1 receiver; Slingbox HD Pro.

Other: iPad (3rd gen); iPhone 4S; 13" core -i5 MacBook Air (2011 model), 13" core i7 Macbook pro (spring 2011), Dell W7 PC

You can get an adapter for you ipod to connect to your TV. It is composite but it works well and gives a nice SD picture.

Of all the ST incarnations, DS9 was my favorite....I think it may be time for a marathon. :-)

Keep an eye on SpikeHD... I have Emissary 1 & 2 plus the last 3 episodes of the Series from SpikeHD on my Directv box, I liked DS9 better than TNG (no Wesley ) I need to save to my H box, edit and burn to AVCHD...

If anyone happens to come across the DVD sets for a steal feel free to share. I'll do likewise. Best Trek show ever.
