Interesting places you've seen a wrestling show?

    ADVERTS 1
Now I know if you've been to a larger promotions show (WWE, TNA, WCW, the old ECW, heck even the NWA or old regional territories) those are usually held in pretty good buildings

But the smaller independent shows ya never know what kind of building you'll be in (if you'll be in one)

so I ask...What interesting places have you seen a wrestling show?
Winegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet
Two 6 foot Fortec dish with GeoSatPro dual C-Band LNB "ghetto moved" to various C-Band satellites

lets see....some of the places I've seen wrestling shows (mainly local independent promotions)

Way back in the day....KMSP 9 studios for the old AWA TV tapings back in the 80's
Casino Entertainment room...Treasure Island Casino in MN and LCO Casino in Wisconsin...
National Guard Armories....2 promotions use to be held in those. Then the war pretty much made those places unavailable
VFW's and Knights of Columbus halls
Baseball Diamond....and not like a stadium. A baseball diamond at a park
    Dog Race Track...outside
The back storage room of a indoor baseball hitting range. They pushed all the extra equipment way back in the corner and then set up the ring.
Back parking lot of a bar (those were fun because ya never knew what would happen)

    and my favorite
Outside on a street during a city's "days"...they closed down the block and the wrestling ring was there right in the middle of the street. I'll remember that because I was in the porta potty and all of a sudden I heard a "thud" and here the match spilled out of the ring and one guy irish whipped his opponent into one of the porta potties set up...yep the one I was in
Winegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet

For me I caught a local NWA regional wrestling event at my friends bowling alley, they had the ring set up in a reception hall area they have. They wrestlers had to watch out for the chandalers

At the Flea Market Port Richey Fl- ring was outside in the parking lot where they also hold classic car events. I hate to admit it - I still like watching it every once in awhile....
(Most out of control venue - the old Boston Garden. They had a high wire fence separating the ring from crowd. I had been to other sites and never saw that before. Found out why - the front rows were almost tearing it down trying to get to the wrestlers)

Watched the Von Erichs in a WCCW event set up outside at our highschool football stadium back in the early 80's.

I know from the documentary that it was a sh**hole but I would have loved to see a night during the Von Erich/Freebirds feud in the Sportatorium in Dallas

Watched that promotion in rodeo arenas, nat. guard armorys, high school gyms walmart parking lots etc.
My favorite was when what was left of that promotion came to my home town. It was held in an abandoned elevator factory. I gave Stone Cold Steve Austin my chair to attack Gentleman Chris Adams. That was before he was called Stone Cold though.

I tried to go there or the Will Rogers Col. at least twice a month during that feud, even though it was 100 miles from where I lived. I went to the Sportatorium a few times when they had tapings on Sat. mornings. There's nothing like the smell of Chili Dogs and beer at 9:30 in the morning.

I remember when I was stationed in Taiwan pro wrestling was trying to get established. I think the wrestlers were from Japan. Chang and his gang ran the country back then and the wrestlers were required to where shirts. No bare chests! There were no ropes around the "ring". I just happened to be channel surfing and saw it on TV. It never caught on there; at least not back then.

I went as a kid (early '60's) to see the WWWF inthe old Sunnyside Gardens in Queens, NY. And I saw ECW at the Elks Lodge also in Queens (ironically it's a church now).
