    HDNet Movies Sneak Preview
Experience exclusive broadcasts of new films before they hit theaters and DVD

    Freakonomics
Premieres Wednesday, September 29th at 8:00pm, followed by an encore presentation at 11:30pm
Directed in four segments by Alex Gibney, Morgan Spurlock, Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing, Eugene Jarecki, Seth Gordon
Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Casino Jack and the United States of Money) delivers a visually
arresting look at the crumbling façade of Sumo wrestling and exposes searing and violent truths about this ancient and
revered sport. Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) offers up a buoyant and revealing angle on the repercussions of baby
names. Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp) balance levity and candor with their eye-opening profile of
underachieving kids incentivized to learn with cold hard cash. Finally, Eugene Jarecki, who brought us the unforgettably
powerful Why We Fight, investigates an unsettling theory to explain why crime rates dramatically dropped in the early '90s.
Seth Gordon (The King of Kong) weaves the pieces together with brisk interludes, providing context and commentary from
the authors. Freakonomics exposes the hidden side of everything, debunking conventional wisdom, and revealing what
answers may come if one just asks the right questions.

    Barry Munday
Premieres Wednesday, September 29th at 9:45pm, followed by an encore presentation at 1:15am
Starring: Patrick Wilson, Chloe Sevigny, Judy Greer, Jean Smart, Malcolm McDowell, Billy Dee Williams, Cybill Shephard
Directed and Written by: Chris D’Arienzo
Barry Munday, a suburban wanna-be ladies man, wakes up in the hospital after being attacked in a movie theater, only to
realize that he is missing one of his most prized possessions... his testicles. To make matters worse, Barry learns he's facing
a paternity lawsuit filed by a woman he can't remember having sex with. With this being Barry last chance to ever be a father,
Barry reaches out and embraces the journey of parenthood and the onslaught of bumps that face him along the way. Filled
with an ensemble of unusual characters, Barry Munday is the surprisingly heart-warming tale of a guy who finds it took losing
his manhood to be a better man.
