Lesnar, 'Undertaker' have words after UFC 121
ADVERTS 1
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Leave it to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani to be around for an awkward moment at UFC 121 on Saturday. He was interviewing Mark Calaway -- better known as WWE's Undertaker -- when former pro wrestler Brock Lesnar walked by after losing to Cain Velasquez. Lesnar and Calaway seemed to have a bit of an uncomfortable stare at each other:

MORE ON THE UNDERTAKER-BROCK LESNAR CONFRONTATION

Obviously, people are buzzing about a possible Brock Lesnar-Undertaker match after last night's face off at the UFC show (chronicled elsewhere on the site).
What I can tell you is that WWE would love to have Taker and Lesnar face off at this year's WrestleMania and according to a few sources in the company have discussed a Lesnar return internally. It will take a lot of money to make it happen (at least million of dollars) and Lesnar would also have to want to do it. That is a big if, especially after he lost last night. The fighter in him has to want to make up for what happened in the Octagon.
Steven Fernandes sent this report.
A few media outlets have picked up the Brock Lesnar/Undertaker confrontation from last night's UFC event. You can read the coverage from The USA Today by clicking here. Also, the following press release was sent out today.
(Media-Newswire.com) - A post fight stare down between WWE's Undertaker and Brock Lesnar showed video of the two stars glaring at each other as Lesnar walked away from the cage after his UFC 121 loss. The Undertaker was being video interviewed as he stood in the crowd when Lesnar walked by glaring at the wrestler.
Lesnar appeared to stop in front of the Undertaker who uttered the words "You want to do it..." to which Lesnar continued walking away from the huge professional wrestler. the Undertaker, appearing out of character, mentioned that 'It's personal.." between him and Brock as to the apparent strained relationship. Stunned onlookers could only watch in fear of a possible problem breaking out between the two huge stars. The WWE star would not reveal any issues between the fighters on camera repeating that it is personal to the reporter interviewing the star. Several rumors are circulating about a possible return to WWE for Lesnar with the comment from the Undertaker relating to that rather than a problem. No confirmation of these rumors has been made.
Lesnar came into the UFC 121 match as a huge favorite but MMA experts knew Cain Velasquez had a real chance to dethrone the champion which he did in stunning fashion. The match ended with a bloody Lesnar covering up on the mat having taken repeated shots from Velasquez who becomes the first Mexican MMA champion.Dave Meltzer has confirmed that World Wrestling Entertainment has made an offer to Brock Lesnar to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
The news was kept secret from the majority of the creative team, and there has been a lot of talk today with people asking what the latest was.
It’s thought that Lesnar will not be saying anything publicly for at least two weeks

These tie ins with professional wrestling will just make it harder for MMA to be seen as a legitimate sport.

Bringing Lesnar back to the WWE would help ratings but no way are they going to let Takers undefeated stretch of Wrestlemania's go away anytime soon, I'm willing to bet Taker has some sort of contract to allow him to win beyond 20.

Found this, this morning.
I really don't see it, after all why would Lesnar come back for one night and to loss cause again you know they are not going to take Takers WM streak away.We can now confirm that World Wrestling Entertainment has made an offer to Brock Lesnar to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania. As noted earlier, the news was kept secret from the majority of the creative team, and there has been a lot of talk today with people asking what the latest was. It's thought that Lesnar will not be saying anything publicly for at least two weeks.
-- The offer to Brock Lesnar is for a one-night only return at WrestleMania 27.
-- Many people who worked for WWE at the time Lesnar decided to leave aren't happy that the UFC star is being offered a big payday to return (if that is the case - we're still not sure) for WWE's biggest event of the year. Many feel that he "crapped on the business" by walking away, especially after being given the big build up as a monster star.
-- There is no deal currently in place between WWE and Lesnar but the company has definitely contacted him. Lesnar's current deal with UFC wouldn't allow him to work a WWE match so Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon and Dana White would need to work something out if anything were to happen.

Well not going to happen.. he's still under UFC contract.
UFC President Dana White downplayed the possibility of a Lesnar return to WWE, saying "Brock Lesnar is still under contract with the UFC ... he is not going to wrestle in the WWE. He cannot wrestle, box or fight anywhere else."
