Tennis Channel to have Marshall flavor

If you followed the progress of Marshall’s doubles tandem of Jessica Johnson and Ashley Kroh as they advanced into the NCAA women’s tennis championship finals before losing in Athens, Ga., last weekend it’s possible to get a look at their title match later this week.

But you will have to be a true HDTV nut, or know of one, to make it happen.

The Tennis Channel inked a deal with the NCAA for the television rights to its championships in early May and will have tape-delayed coverage of the Marshall-UCLA NCAA Championship doubles final at 9 p.m. Friday, with a another airing at 4 p.m. Saturday.

what's the deal with HDTV? The tennis channel is 100% SD. Am I missing something?

I guess his point is that you have to have VOOM which is loaded with HD channels and therefore, he assumes that you need an HDTV, to get the Tennis channel. I just posted this because I know some like Tennis here and the Tennis channel is only available on V* (on DBS).
