Is the 4200 HD the worst box cablevision offers or what??

Gosh! Mine freezes ALL the time.......

It then takes at LEAST 15 full mins to reboot.....

AND changing channels is so horribly slow....WTF

I have access to both dishnetwork 722 and this cablevision.....

hands down 722 PWNS the 4200....

is there another choice on cable vision that might perform better.....

Also - is there a way that i dont have to hit guide and then enter..that shit is annoying.

You must mean the 4200 HC with the cable card.. Yes they do suck. The regular SA4200 though (we call them minime cause their small and pretty) are really good boxes.

Go to a walk in center and trade it in for a 4250 HD.

oops I was mistaken the "4250" is the minime.... The 4200 is the standard SA box, not as small as the 4250. But has been very reliable it was at one point the largest volume in circulation in our area, and held up well.

Go swap it out for the SA4250HD. Much faster, smaller and it has HDMI. It's not as fast as the SA8300HD DVR but much better then the SA4200HD.
