SA 8300HD Problems

I've had the Sci Atlanta 8300HD for about 2 1/2 years now and the performance is just getting worse and worse. The channel changing is sometimes slower than the 4200HD was and when i use the guide to try to find a program to record it is a hell of a lot slower than the 4200HD. Monday I'm probably going to bring it back to the Cablevision store. I just wanted to know if anybody else is having similar problems, just so I'm not the only out there whose having these problems.

I just swapped mine out. I have been having tons of problems with my old one. Mostly hard drive related. It just wouldn't die. It kept spitting up blood but wouldn't die!
My new one works great but it takes longer to pull the channel up than the other one did.What I have:
Toshiba 51H82, Dish 811 Receiver that I don't even use, HD DVD A20, PS3 for Blu-ray, Scientific Atlanta 8300, Comcrap HD (enjoying what used to be superior HD PQ but no choices and climbing rates! Now just climbing rates and over compressed bitrates), and an itch for reliable, quality and quantity HD programming....
Why won't someone scratch me!?
