CV adds Universal Sports sd channel

This shows on my guide as NBC44. Is this an all new channel or did it replace something?

"Just a couple of weeks after becoming a significant shareholder in World Championship Sports Network, NBC Universal’s rechristened Universal Sports service has rang up a six-fold increase in distribution.

Universal Sports, which carries Olympics-style sports fare, is now available in more than 13 million TV households via carriage contracts covering the New York and Los Angeles DMAs.

The network, which currently is airing Olympic Trials encores, is now available...[on]Cablevision channel 110 (119 in Connecticut)"


Edit: This is a permanent channel and appears as though it should not to be confused with the up and coming 4 New York channel.

If this is a new channel, what sub channels does WNBC currently have now?

Seems there is an opening in 4.3 for perhaps 4 NY Channel, that is to debut soon!
