Effective Thursday, April 16, 2009, Cablevision will be removing six music services, launching seven new music services and merging six existing music channels into three. Music Choice, which provides the widest array of commercial-free professionally programmed music channels on iO channels 801-848 (soon to be 851 thru 896) has advised us of these channel and programming changes. This from the Cable Rant forum posted yesterday 3/17/09.

ok does anyone actually use these channels?

Yes, I do. I listen to lite hits while eating dinner with my wife and I listen to the oldies on Saturday morning while doing housecleaning. I have audio cables from the desktop connected to my sound system. I would guess a lot of people listen to these commercial free music stations.

I don't see it being merged with other stations but it doesn't appear on the new list.
