Web modem tele light

today the telephone light on the Modem has started flashing & I don't have the phone option .it never did this B4...can anyone offer a clue as to what going on ....thanx.

when the telephone light blinks, it means one of 2 things:
There is either a short on the line, which could be from using the phone, or a bad telephone wire, or a short in the modem itself, or;
You put in a request to order optimum voice, the phone light blinks that it is ready to be provisioned with ov.

If it is not the later, swap your modem.

thanx for the reply... then it must be the modem itself since I just have tv & internet ... never had the ov phone option
