That's because Cablevision is having to compete with FiOS right in their backyard.

Cablevision does use SDV. Right now is has been for Subscription Sports Packages (MLBEI), International Channel Packages & Premium HD movie channels. I'm curious to see if the Premium Channel HD feeds go to SDV and the rest aren't.

Since Brooklyn/Bronx are 100% digital systems, and I believe they are also 850 Mhz systems as well, I dont think they have bandwidth concerns to worry about SDV right now..

Just the ones that were added a few months ago. The main premiums HD channels (HBO HD, SHO HD, etc.) are still non-SDV.

Great news. Thanks Scott. Don't forget they're adding ABC Live Well HD next week as well.

Yup, being all digital we've been immune to many of the HD quality problems experienced in other areas and the SDV station not available message has never been a concern for us either.
