Cablecard?

Hey guys, maybe someone can answer this...
I recently upgraded my living room tv, and moved my Samsung DLP into the bedroom. It has a cablecard slot. I know it's only like 2 or three dollars a month for the card, but I heard you can't just go to the Cablevision centers and pick one up, they have to install it. Is this true? What would the charge be for installation. If I can get all my HD channels without paying for another box I'd rather do it...

yes its true cablecards have to be installed by a tech and its $34.95 for the install
