no
Shaw uses the same switches in most cases as Directv and Free to air like 4x8 multiswitches and 22k switches
Bell uses the same switches as Dish doesWinegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet

Yes it is two LNB's in a single housing, set for a four-degree-satellite-spacing. It has the ability to switch from one side of the LNB to the other based on a tone sent from the receiver.
There are two models of LNB that match the model of the dish: the 60e LNB must be used with the 60E dish; the 75e LNB must be used with the 75e dish. They are not interchangeable
You need one cable for each tuner. If you have a PVR (DRS530 or DSR630) containing 2 tuners, 2 coax cables are required for that receiver. Otherwise, a single cable is required per receiver. Each of the four outputs on the LNB is identical.Last edited by joshuals; 01-11-2012 at 01:17 PM. Reason: added more info & corrected spelling

The Quad LNB has a built in 4x4 switch so it knows if you select a 111.1 channel to "turn on" the 22k
as Joshuals noted its one cable per tuner. If you need more than 4 tuners (so if you have 2 630's and a 600) then you need a 4x8 multiswitch like this

all 4 lines from the LNB to the switch then hook receivers to that
