Is Charter internet wireless connect only up to 5 devices?
ADVERTS 1
I am planning to get charter internet service, but the descripton on the wireless option says connects up to 5 devices. Is there really a limit of 5 devices? With 3 PCs, 1 notebook, 2 iphones, and a Wii, that's already 6 devices...

My particular wireless router has 5 wired hookup ports on the back. As far as wireless connections, there's no limit.

Is your wireless router rent from Charter or is it your own? I wonder if the one from Charter somehow has a hard limit of number of wireless devices. It seems strange that it would say there is a limit of 5 pc's.

I just got charter and I have a hardwired PC, Laptop, 612 Dish receiver with a Bluray and 622 receiver through a switch and wireless I have another laptop, Wii, I-Phone and I pod touch and have no issues. I use Charters Modem with a Belkin router. From what I understand you need a router to connect more than one device as Charter only gives you one IP address.

There would be no way to no that I can think of.
