Food Network "stretch"

Sponsored Links
While watching Food Network in "HD" I must admit the picture looks good. Not great. It seems the right and left 1/4 to 1/3 is stretched. But then, sometimes the top and bottom also "wobble" or stretch a bit.

What resolution are they using? I thought by now their new stuff would be fully HD, but it's not. Yet it's better than 480. What's going on?

As you note, some, but not all of their new programming is HD. They are still showing a bunch of old programming and all of that is stretched. New programming not in HD is stretched as well. The only way I can tell what is what is to look at the programming guide and it will tell me if any particular program is HD. All of the programming is 1080I.
