Comcats - Digital Starter Without Cable Box
ADVERTS 1
I aplogozize in adavance for asking what is going to be a stupid question but I am new to cable and don't know much about it.
I have Comcasts digital starter pacakge and I have a couple HDTV's with QAM tuners that I am using without a cable box. I am finding my local channels in HD but when I am watching that channel the audio is from another channel. Is this comcasts way of making you pay for HDTV service? I have a couple digital channels I can get just fine it just seems to be some of my local HDTV\Digital channels.

Comcast wants you to box-up. And they will pull little carp like this to get you to do it.
Yup I'm wearing a tinfoil hat, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong
Dishnet-HD gives with one hand and takes away with the other

Are you sure you're not receiving SAP on those channels. Try pressing the SAP button on your TV's remote a few times.
My locals come through in HD just fine via Comcast & my tv's QAM tuner.
