High Numbered QAM
ADVERTS 1
I just got cable and did a scan on my Sharp Aquos to see what I could get via QAM. I went here:
Silicondust
to find what I could for my zipcode (30062). However, I do not seem to have any of the QAM channels higher than **.12.
How do I get 5-808, 108-30, etc?
Is there something wrong, do I need different equipment?
Thanks!
Matt

Never heard of anything like 5-808. What is your zip code?

yeah, I am confused as well. I used my Slingbox to scan the QAM channels available with my comcast lifeline cable, and had more than 50 of them -- lots in the range around 100 - 130, with channel numbers like 128.69 as an example.
OTA channels are being broadcast with channel numbers like 031.1 (or as Dish Network reads them 031-1, 031-2, 031-3), with the -2 and -3 being subchannels.

I'm looking at what Clear QAM channels I should get from here:
http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/lineupui/US:30062
I'm not quite sure how the QAM# corresponds to the channel number on the TV. I suppose this could be up to my TV?

Wow! I've never seen a numbering scheme like that. When you did a digital scan, did you get anything around channel 5? You should see WPCH and WGTV somewhere in that area. If you don't, maybe you could try to look through what you do find and tell us where you find those two channels. They are there, somewhere.

Not sure about '- 508' designator, but Comcast had subchannels of free QAM in range to '-99' or so, at least for audio.
