Move Comcast HD DVR from one house to another

    ADVERTS 1
I was wondering could I move my Hd DVR from one house to another? I have Comcast basic service at both locations in the same town.
How does Comcast know where the HD DVR is located?

In the Comcast digital world, some of the switching is done in the infrastructure. They only feed signals for some channels to your house when you are watching. That means that requests from your box are also sent back to the Comcast server.

The DVR thus needs to be in the location they know about.

I won't say more, because it would become a discussion on account stacking, and we don't do that here.
