Comcast Locals w/ Internal QAM tuner

    ADVERTS 1
Has anybody here gotten the Comcast local feeds thru their built in QAM tuner? If so how do you have your hookup on your TV? Is there one specific way you have to hookup to get it?

Only for the analog channels 1 through 80 something. Just hookup to RF cable like you always have. Unless I don't understnad the questions.

Well I have heard that most cable companies don't encrypt the local digital feeds. that is what I am trying to find. i am renting a STB for the locals and I heard that since my TV has a QAM tuner built in i don't need a STB for HD locals.

I use an LG 4200 for the local HD channels on Comcast it works fine, the locals are supposed to be in the clear, just plug in your cable and see what happens!!

My TV has a built-in QAM tuner and the digital locals are not encrypted (both SD & HD) and I only have lifeline basic from Comcast.
