Windows 8 Tablet requirements
ADVERTS 1
For those that are interested, a number of sites have published the requirements for
Windows 8 tablets
.
There are many sites with the specifications, and not all of them are mentioning this... ARM based tablets must have a secure (read locked) bootloader. These will likely be bypassed sooner or later, but in the near term no "custom" Windows 8 builds will be making the rounds. I don't think that's too important in the grand scheme of things though either.

i hope these aren't an underpowered mess like the Android tablets were when they debuted (many still are IMO).

I have not seen CPU requirements published for tablets. They are sticking with the "party line" for Intel based systems, i.e. if it runs Vista or Win7 fine, it will run Win 8 fine.Curmudgeon in Training / Surround Music Enthusiast
