Guy Wire ordering help, please.....
ADVERTS
hi folks,
so I have my Winegard 1080 mounted on a tripod base, with a 1 1/4" OD 10' mast.
it's mounted on my roof. the antenna is at the very top of the mast, and of course, it sways with the slightest amount of wind.
I am hoping to get some help with ordering guy wire hardware. I am out on the Summit Source and was assuming there would be a kit with the wire, mast bracket, roof mounts, turnbuckles, etc.
If someone has a minute, could they give me a shopping list?
thanks so much
Jeff

Not quite sure what you want, but probably a 3 point guy system (120 degrees apart) with a collar at the top to keep the guys from slipping down and some sort of anchor at each roof mount should do.
You can probably do a single set at each point without any turnbuckles, since it is not going to be withstanding really great forces.
Try your neighborhood Radio Shack for parts, maybe even Lowe's or Home Depot.Hitachi 57F59; Sony VHP-D50Q - 7' diag on wall

There is a online calculator which will determine how much wire you will need.
Get Notice Internet Solutions-Guy Wire Pulse Calculator
The guys over at Tower Talk.com can help you with the best place to buy your supplies.
I do a lot of business with Solid Signal.com
They have good quality supplies at a very competitive price and very low shipping costs.

Did you try home depot or lowes,
They should have galvanized cable in various sizes and turnbukles too.
