Are all current HDTVs able to handle MPEG-4 and future compression methods?

well as for the tv to decode mpeg-4 no . but if u get the correct stb that does mpeg4 then yes but as for rite now the only broadcasters going to use mpeg4 is dbs providers your local stations are only allowed to broadcast in mpeg2 as per astc code
