On my HR24-500 when watching an HD recording and using 30sec skip/FF/Rewind functions, the screen image becomes 4X3 and only goes back to normal when you cycle thru the Format button. This also happens when rewinding back within a live buffer.

On my first attempt to watch an SD recording the connection between the receiver and tv was basically reset w/ my TV left saying Searching for source..

My other receiver, HR24-100 hasn't had any issues other than the Guide scrolling on even with the setting set to Off, which the 24-500 did also.

    ----
Update.. On the 24-500, After a popup saying "Updating guide data" appeared, my current recording stopped and had only a black screen on any channel.. did a reset and now when I use a DVR function it makes the image look like what Crop does to an SD show, but on HD content. Again it's fixed by pressing the Format button.
