Why am I so nervous about the D11 launch on Monday since the Dish Network satellite was lost ?

I'm not nervous about the Dish failure - I'm nervous that two launches ago at SeaLaunch their satellite ended up going directly to the bottom of the ocean.

I sure hope we never see that again.

Tune in Monday evening around 6-6:30pm and we'll have a great chat.

The broadcasat is in the guide if you want to set the DVR.

The last I've read is the D* Monday launch is still a go. Unlike E*, D* has a spare satellite (D12) built and in standby.

I have My DVR SET as well as my fta system is ready. Atleast I wont have to put up with D* down rezzing as I can get it from the source

Actually I've read that D12 is going to be scheduled for launch in 2009. It was originally set as a backup to D10 and D11, but they must want to keep the HD momentum going.

Yep, But by then I'm sure D* will have another spare. D* puts money into their company!
