Some XM Channels to be REMOVED tonight

Sponsored Links
Just got word that a number of XM Channels will be removed tonight from the DirecTV lineup. These channels are being removed by XM and is not something DirecTV is removing on their own.

The channels being removed are:

824 - U Pop Hits
860 - The System
862 - World Zone

(I believed these channels were programmed by WorldSpace)

The channels will be removed tonight at midnight eastern time.

Scott, thanks for that update. I miss one channel that disappeared a while back "Frank's Place" Ch 853 (Jazz Standards, vocals). I haven't seen that one re-appear since then.

could this be something to do with Dish owning a large stake in Sirius XM

The System was wonderful. Area nowhere near replaces it on Sirius XM. Having DirecTV at home, it WAS nice to still be able to listen to The System at home or online.

As for XM, it just hasn't been the same since the merger. It is really crap now. I am canceling in a couple weeks. What a shame all around. The System was a great station.

Wow, sorry you feel that way.
I am enjoying my XM all the more now.
A few channels I listen to changed names, but the are all still there.
Also I can now have MLB, College Football and now with the best of, I can get my NASCAR and NFL as well.
