RCA DRD420 RE ISSUE

Sponsored Links
I have one of these older RCA receivers, and it started acting up lately. Sometimes the color changes, usually when it's a reddish color and turns pinkish then the whole picture turns black and white. It happens every now and then, it's not the wires to the tv because I tried that already. Is my receiver going toast? Or what do you guys think?

Sounds like thats the case if you've replaced the cables already ....

May be time to upgrade

Free upgrade , just complain about not getting all your ppv channels any more. There is Guide issues with some of the olders boxes where we swap them out for d11/d12s .

420re is on the list of boxes that are affected by the guide issue ( missing most of the ppv channels and missing 700 channels where nflst nba , nhl all have there games located at )

i had a DRD go berzerk on me sometime between Sat. & Sun. morning where the guide just dropped anything above channel 20. I sent a reauthorize & then did the whole 30 sec. power cycle. fixed it right up.

especially when it a free upgrade that does not extend contracts and does not take away your eligability to get other reduced cost or free updages like dvr or hd or hddvr

420RE DIED

This receiver finally died, I have that replacement plan thing. What receiver should I be getting in return of this Stonecold? Should I dispose of this receiver or will Directv want it back, seems to me it's just disposable. Would be good to know in case Directv wants it back.

420re would be owned . If you have protection plan they should replace it with a d11/d12
