    reformat

    ADVERTS 1
I've had 3 exchanges in the last month and now my 4th HR21 or 22 is acting up.
I would like to reformat the drive on this one just for kicks. The thing is, I've never been able to do it on any of the units before this one, I've tried. This is what I do.

    press reset button
    screen says "few more seconds"
press down arrow and rec buttons
hold till machine goes into format

I was told I would lose all of my recordings and I never have .
Can someone tell me if I'm doing it wrong?

    Menu > Parental, Fav's & Setup > System Setup > Reset > Reset Everything

    This will wipe it clean.
