    Subscription # Question

    ADVERTS
This may seem like a silly question, but here it goes. I see on DTV's home page that it says "Over 50 million American's strong!". How is that number determined? The most I can find in the US is 18 million subscribers and world wide at 24.

then again, maybe I'm just missing something. When they say that, are they referring to subscribers?

It is apparently based on the estimated number of people in the households with a subscription. This is according to a thread on dbstalk.
