Will either of these Work

I have a Slimline and SWM set up will any of these work on my setup?

RCA DRD430RG
RCA DRD420RE

Not unless you have a SWM8 with Legacy ports. Unless it is Directv branded it won't work with SWM and about half the Directv branded won't work.

Dont know what legacy ports are, I do have an 8 port thing in the basement hooked up to a power source

no the 8 port thing is not swm8 switch it just a swm spliter.

swm8 switch is big and grey and has ports marked as legacy.

So no dice then? Sodoun sp? Says it will work but only get 101 which is all I need I don't need HD on the set that I need the reciever for

It's unusual that you have a Slimline and SWM lnb, but no other hd equipment.

I do have HD, I have 2 HR20's, but the other room I want to add this too I don't need HD in.

I have a drd 430 with my slimline working, it gets locals, just gets 101, 110, 119. Don't know if you have a different slimline than mine.

Yes there to slimlines wone wiht a swm lng and the other with legacy lnb.
