singnal bouncing
ADVERTS 1
My sisters singnal keeps going from 90% to 0% sometimes NO ALL OF TIME>
DTV was out there and said dish is pointed fine and cables test good.
I asked him if the BBC are bad and he said no either they work or don't
Not I do have dixplexor on one of the line not both.
Seems like both turners go to 0 at the same time I didnt check 101 when this happens I notice it on 103
Any ideas or why to check
DTV guys he doesn't know

Sounds like a bad LNB if it is happening to both tuners.
Is there just the one HD DVR in your sister's installation?
It would be most helpful to know what's going on with the 101W signals.

Look for weather boots on the conections and get rid of them.
Shuld look like a Black rubber plug on the end of every conection . If this install was done within the last year also remove the lnb and see if any are on that also.
bust out the 7/16 and tighten all the conections back after removing the boots.
had this problem in my home only on one box 3 weeks of replacing lnb, switch, box, Alot of bitching from the wife just to find a damb boot on the back of the wall plate that took the place of a lost nut..... works great now as it was the changes in weather (expansion and contraction) that was causing signal to come in and out also a good case for a faulty lnb but that was my first guess.

i would check the fitting behind and in front of the wallplate and make sure u dont have RG-59 behind that wall plate if u cant tell the copper would be really thin and easy to bend, or compare wires if its thin its RG-59, if that the case the lines need to be replaced if not u could try forcing a software update. if its just one receiver doing that, those refurbed boxes are some kinda horrible, the box may be going bad. hope this helps if not i have other options !
