    Actually, I hope it doesn't end soon - except for the Super Bowl.

    Another station in Boston reports that Sunbeam wants $500,000 a month more in retransmission fees for about 200,000 viewers.

    If DirecTV caves in, Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner, Cox, all are next.

    This is a pivotal time for Direct, and to a lesser extent for other providers. Dish of course has been bucking just signing off on outlandish increases for some time, and at first got heat for it. Not so much anymore as people do see what Dish was trying to do.

    But I see it a little different for Direct TV. Direct TV IS sports. Can they stay the course and not give in, even if the City whose team is in the Super Bowl can't watch it on Direct? If they can, than other providers certainly can and that sends a great message.
