Can't record or watch recordings..

Just had installation today and had whole home dvr service. I got a hd dvr in the living room and a hd receiver in the bedroom. When I try to record from the bedroom I get the message "Can't record this program because this location is not connected to the network " when the installer left he aid everything was working. I don't even see a option to view a playlist. How do I connect the hd receiver to the "network"? Thank you.

1. Did you check his work before you signed and he left; was it working then?

Rebooting the receiver in the bedroom might help, after you've verified that there is a network connection.
