DIRECTV will be taking care of all existing DIRECTV HD customers and swapping the HD STB's and antenna system for a cost of $49.99 installed.

Wow if it's 5 cables that will be perfect for me and I had the installer already run the 5th line when he came and installed my HD Tivo.

You are correct, I was told that the original design had 4 coax outputs. This is the latest information I have.

Robert, well that stinks, my dish is pole mounted in the back yard and running another cable unground will be a pain. Will D* run it and bury it or expect me to do it???

Robert, do you know if they are going to offer any kind of an upgrade deal to existing HD subscribers to upgrade to a HD DVR?

The Detroit DMA will begin the upgrade process by end of October for existing customers. New subscribers will get the H20 and Plus 5 LNB dish beginning October 18, 2005.

Hi Robert (sent you an e-mail as well). I just had an installer from Michigan Microtech (the local Detroit D* installers) over to move/re-aim my dish. He said they have heard nothing about the new MPEG-4 dishes or any timing yet.

Have they pushed back the date that you know of?
