ADVERTS
I sent an inquiry up to their communications office, see if we can get some kind of actual idea of what happened. This lockup appears to be very widespread.

I am runnning the national release also, no C.E.
I cant wait to see what the actual problem is. As of now, D* says (as Rad posted) that they didnt do an update last night. Some are saying its possibly bad guide data? That would be oddwww.sonicbabble.com The best non sat discussion on the net

Mine was stuck on one channel. I thought my remote was screwed, but I changed the batteries in it last night. I had to press the red button to reboot. It is working fine now. It retained my custom channels and my scheduled recordings of movies and series.
DirecTV. I had FIOS but moved and cannot get it again even though a house 200 feet away has it and my street is wired. As a movie lover I am unhappy with DirecTV's premium channels. FIOS had all 26 HBO/MAX channels in HD. DirecTV has 4.

Our living room HR-21 did that. My wife called and said it wouldn't power on at all. I had her unplug it and plug it back in. That didn't do it. It took a second goaround for it work.
Our bedroom HR-21 did something weird Saturday. It froze up on one of my recordings, but what's weird is it showed a frozen image from live TV, not the recording. Deleting the recording did the trick there.Click here if you have benefited from satelliteguys.us

I wonder if some of these things being erased are more to do with some posters doing a hard reset versus a RBR. Could that cause a person to lose favorites and recordings? Not something I have heard of, but possible?
