I woke up with the circle on the front of the HR-20 lit up in bright blue. This typically happens as the result of an over-night system update. Everything was fine for me though. I had no issues turning it on or accessing DVR'd events on my DVR.

Could. I have done a hard rest several times since I have hd my 21 but have never lost data. Favorites or recordings. I did not check today if recordings were still there on my hard drive (internal).

I didnt either, but I will as soon as I can. I know some that said they lost them were running external drives, but I saw a couple that said it was on the internal.

My HR20-100 wouldn't respond at all this morning either. All the lights were off and the remote and buttons weren't working. I unplugged and plugged back in. I had to press the power button on the front about 3 or 4 times before it finally responded. I though my box was dead for a couple minutes. Glad to know it wasn't just me.
