Ethernet hook up
ADVERTS
On the back of my HD DVR there is two ethernet plug in. I have had one hooked up since i got Direct TV back in Nov. So now i hooked another cable in the other plug in, and it seem to tie my wireless connection up with both hooked up at the same time. My question is what is the benifits of having both hooked up. I have HR22 receiver.

The second port on the HR22 can be used like a switch to feed a second receiver. Think of it as a pass through. If you have both connected to a switch, then it's anyone's guess what will happen.

I use my pass-through for my PS3 rather then using the wireless. My theory is if you can go wired rather then wireless then go for it. The port is there so why not use it?
