    Hardware not Signal?

    ADVERTS
Hello, new here, great site! Hoping someone has a suggestion. I am having an intermittent “your receiver has not received info... (920). When I run the self test I am told I have a cabling or alignment or hardware problem. Call customer service and give them the code 42 687. I called them and was told I need to call them while thr (920) message is onscreen and then they would walk me through..whatever. Problem is this message usually appears when I am not here, and my lady is not-so-tech-savvy. (still battling the remote functions). This only happens on my HD-DVR-HR23-700 not on the Standard-D12-300 on separate cabling.
On satellite 101 I get the numbers below,
    98 99 96 99 97 100 97 100
    97 99 98 0 98 199 96 100
    97 80 97 87 97 100 95 100
    97 0 97 52 98 100 95 100.
This is a little better than before I adjusted. While checking cabling I found a flat coax coupler (for running through windows) that is suspect. Would it be possible to get the messages I get even though my transponder signals are high?
Thanks in advance for any nudging.
    Jim

Those numbers from 101 are excellent. What are your signal strengths from the other satellites?

Have you tried to swap the cables around?

    Good catch.
However, it's the setup of dish type in the receiver.
The above implied looking at the dish physically.

Thanks Fed, it was selected for a 3 when I do in fact have a 5. Ran system test and it tells me critical data not received from satelite but refers to yesterday morning. I'll let it run for a day or so and I will post again if I am still having problems. JD, I will include signal strengths from other SATs if probem continues.
    Thanks again!

Oh yeah, the diagnostics code I get now after system test is, 45-439.
