Which Satellites to Receive Directv HD?

Hi! On Directv, Which birds carry the HD material. I have a Directv Multisat 3 lnb dish and a separate dish for local programing and only receive a handful of hd channels. When I call Directv about it they say that I have the right equipment but I am skeptical about the dish itself. A friend of mine has the Slimline 5 lnb dish and receives tons of hd material that I do not get. Currently I receive 101, 110, 119 and 72.9 birds. Thank you!

you need to upgrade to the slimline
99 & 103 carry all the HD
there is still some on 110 but its duplicated to either 99 or 103

your locals that are on 72.5 are being mirrored on (yes) 99 or 103

They should upgrade the dish to either the slimline 3 which is 99/101/103 or the 5 LNB which is 99/101/103/110/119

what HD receiver do you have?

you should be fine for the receiver....they need to upgrade you.
If you have locals on 72.5 they SHOULD have sent you a letter about the dish upgrade.

You might want to call therm back...make sure you tell them your locals are on 72.5 and they need to upgrade your dish

Would it do me any good to aim my single dish at either 99 or 103 in the mean time?

No, that dish doesn't have the correct lnb to receive signals from those satellites.
