Auto Config hangs

I had moved my box up to campground where there is only a round dish. Now I moved it back home where I have the oval-3 (I believe that's it - it has H.D.).
I changed the zip code and when I try the auto config, it just hangs and I have to exit out of it. the problem is that it will not pick up the locals channels at my home as it did before. This box is not the H.D. box, but an older model.
